Brought to you by the letter P

Kaylee has been in to taking showers lately and then playing in the tub with her toys once the water has been turned off. She was in there the other night by herself playing. Then we heard her get a drink from the sink. Then again. Then she came out with her towel on and was covering her mouth. "Why are you covering your mouth" asks Kristina. "I ate some grass today at school and it tastes bad". That was like 5 hours ago. I don't think you can still taste that. "What did you eat in the tub?" Nothing. Kristina asks a couple more times and lets her know she's not in trouble. "I drank my pee." What? How did you even pull that off? She has stackable cups in her toy box and she took one and filled it and drank it. She had just been to the doctor and had to fill a cup for them so that's where we think she got the idea. "So how did taste?" "Not good." Duh.

Kaylee's School Play

Kaylee's school had a play for all 3 pre-school classes the other day. Kaylee played a lamb. It was a song where the kids had to progressively remember all the animals. The cow had a calf. The sheep had a lamb. The pig had a piglet. Etc. There were like 10 animals when it was all done. Kaylee was one of the few kids to remember all of them. Oh, and did I mention we were outside while the kids were under a shelter and it was pouring rain. Kaylee is standing just to the right of the tall girl in the middle of the photo.

Bark Bark Bark

Wow. It's been 4 months since my last post. Time flies!

Kristina's mom Sandy takes Kaylee overnight pretty often. When she does we usually meet up with her at the Starbucks near the Super Mall. On one recent occassion, Sandy brought some pictures with her from our trip to Hawaii plus some other ones. Kaylee was a little hyper and was starting to get on my nerves. I was about to put her in timeout when she took a picture of Tucker (Sandy's dog) and held it up in front of her face and said Bark Bark Bark. She was pretending to be Tucker and make him bark. This made all of us laugh hysterically. It's hard to punish your kid when your laughing your butt off.

We're going to have to rename this blog to Kaylee and Charlie pretty soon.

Ikea

Kaylee loves the play area at Ikea. I also love it very much. I took her there after school one day this week so I could get some work done. You get a free hour. They give you a pager in case they freak out. Pretty cool check in / out procedure. Kaylee loves it because there's a ball pit, a movie theater and a coloring station. She usually does all three. I took her for an ice cream cone afterward at the cafeteria. The lady asked me if I wanted it kid sized. I said the smaller the better. Kaylee said it needed to be small because "It makes me crazy!"
