I don't know if little kids can have a favorite number but Kaylee sure seems to have one. It's the number 50. Why 50? Who knows? The other day I was working late and Kristina and Kaylee brought me some dinner and on their way out Kaylee said, "See you in 50 hours!"
We were playing with her kitchen and she said we were making a cake or something and I asked her when it would be ready and she said 50 minutes. Kaylee has a cash register and we were playing grocery store and I asked her if I could buy some grapes and she said that would be 50 dollars. Wow, those are some expensive grapes. Grandma Debbie was watching her a little bit ago and Kaylee said something about 50 hours there too.

Haircut
Back in January, Kaylee got her hair cut much shorter than it has been. Kaylee wouldn't let us put it in a pony tail or pigtails so Kris asked the stylist to cut it down. It ended up being a little above the shoulders and had a little curl to it on the bottom. Kaylee was so good. She sat there still as a statue. Here's a photo I took with my phone.

First Movie
I took Kaylee to see her first movie in a theater today. We saw the Dog Hotel movie and she liked it a lot. We had taken her to the drive in a few times over the summer and it didn't go so well so I was a little anxious. Kristina went to see Bride Wars with Alesha at the same time so we drove over together. Everything went really well. Kaylee liked the movie. It was really crowded and pretty loud as there were a ton of kids. I got a bag of popcorn and a soda and Kaylee curled up next to me and watched the movie and munched on popcorn the whole time. She only asked a few questions. She did make us go potty about 5 mins in and then once in the bathroom let me know she didn't have to but I expected at least one potty break anyway. The movie was cute. I know Kaylee liked it because she loves anything with animals. We've been watching a lot of Disney movies at home lately and the Lion King was a big hit. This evening she asked to watch a Baby Einstein dvd on her portable player and she had it in her lap while laying on her monster and she fell asleep. Pretty darn cute. She woke up when I moved her bag of Cheetos. Now Kristina is in her room putting her down for the night. Today was a great day.

Christmas Tree
We put up our tree around a week ago or so. And what I mean by we is that I got all the stuff out of the attic and Kristina put up the tree. Kaylee loved every single ornament. Wow look at that one. Oooh that one is so cool. This one is so pretty. Even though it was the tenth red ball that was exactly the same as the previous nine. Kaylee got to help put the ornaments up. The cutest part of the whole event was when she hugged the tree and said "I love you tree!" She's done that at least once every day since.

Peep Show
We went over to Joel & Judy's the other day. Kristina was out of town and we hadn't seen them in a while. Kaylee loves going over there. They're fun to play with. Joel wrestles around with Kaylee and Judy gives her lots of attention too. One of the main reasons she loves going over there is because they have 4 stuffed peeps. Do you remember peeps from Easter? We were finishing dinner and Kaylee said to us, "Ok, now it's time for the Peep show."

Big Day
I sent Kaylee to Daycare on Tuesday in underwear for the first time. She made it about a half hour before she wet herself. But on Wednesday I sent her again and she made it the whole day even after I picked her up without wetting herself. Big day! Our baby is a little girl now. Very exciting and sad at the same time.

Halloween
Kaylee had a great Halloween. We get very few kids at our house so we went over to our friends' Ben and Jenny's last year. We had such a great time we went again this year. Kaylee was a lady buy last year and a bumble bee this year. Her friend Gavin was a doctor this year. The wives took the kids out first and we handed out candy to the trick or treaters and then we switched spots when they came back. Kaylee loved getting all the candy. There was one house that was completely decked out. They had straw all over their yard, headstones, pumpkins, corn. There were a couple of guys hanging out in the yard scaring the older kids. They were really nice to the little ones but they were pretty scary looking. Kaylee didn't want to go up to the house so we stayed on the sidewalk and waited for Ben and Gavin. The house sent their little girl down to us with some treats. The girl said she was sorry we were so scared and gave Kaylee a hug and a stuffed black cat to boot.
BTW, Kaylee loves the pumpkin we got from the pumpkin patch. She kisses it goodbye and hello everytime we come and go from the house.
